ARADHYA is a registered national level body that supports voluntary action for national development. It is a philanthropic, secular, apolitical, non-profit and a non- governmental organisation. Dedicated to the cause of holistic development and upliftment, its main aim is working for social & economic empowerment of under -privileged. It provides consultancy, training and implementation inputs on rural & community development projects all over India.
Serving underprivileged communities across India, ARADHYA has covered a wide spectrum of issues in community development. It is represented in several key committees of Central and State Governments and as India’s first Regional Resource & Training Center on Ageing (RRTC) under Min. SJ & E, GoI, it has conducted several research, training & capacity building projects towards empowering the caregivers & elderly.
Participation and presentations made in National and International forums. Signed MOU with Senior Citizens Council, Republic of Mauritius. Set up Day Care & Recreation Centers located in Delhi, ARADHYA is running E learning & computer center, Library, Counselling, Spiritual & social support programs for senior citizens. Besides several internationally acclaimed research papers, ARADHYA has published two books titled “Active Ageing in the New Millennium” & “Coping with Ageing: Emerging issues & Strategies in India. ARADHYA is headed by a qualified social gerontologist and technical expert. It has trained staff in social work, psychology, educationist and counsellors to manage to its various projects. Many retired persons are engaged with ARADHYA as counsellors, caregivers, trainers & social workers.
